Relaxing Morning

I love a relaxing summer morning. We don't have these very often, but when we do we enjoy it! R got up early(early for her) at 6am. That was to early to get motivated and we didn't

have to get anywhere early that morning. So R and I played a computer game and she did a little online shopping(pointed out what she liked). When Kb got up at 7:30 we all snuggled in for a little Curious George(I was laying in the middle). By the time Kg rolled out of bed at almost 8am we figured we should get moving, but still took a few minutes to relax with her too! I am going to miss these relaxing summer mornings when school starts!

Puppy Love

Many of you know we have been talking a lot lately about getting a puppy. We started with our first pet, fish, at Easter. The kids have done great with them(okay, I know they aren't hard to take care of, but we haven't had to flush any to fish burial so that is success). A puppy or bunny were the next talked about pets here. With Kb, Kg and my allergies we need a hypoallergenic dog. This is a huge undertaking to find a breed that will not only work with the allergies, but also fit in our lifestyle. We live in a suburban area and have a fenced in yard. A dog that needs acres to wander won't like it here. We need a dog that could live happily in our house and not feel confined. At the same time we need a dog that is big enough that our kids won't love it to much and break it(they are loving kids and will want to hug and kiss the puppy a lot...a dog that gets to 5lbs at full size won't do well with that attention). Well, you all know I am a pushover and was easily swayed. Dh was a little harder to convince, but who can't love a puppy like this...
After many discussions amongst our family of 5, lots of internet research, listening to pros and cons from family and friends we have made a decision. As long as Kb and Kg are not allergic(we go in August to meet a dog of the same breed/genetics as these puppies) we will be the proud and happy new family of one of the pictured puppies on Labor Day weekend!!! They are the most adorable GoldenDoodle puppies, aren't they?!

Tired Guy

Kb was wiped out the other day from a day of outside fun! He fell asleep in the chair at 6pm!

Weeds, weeds and more weeds!

The weeds took over our sandbox! I decided it was time to finally do something about it and started pulling them. Two days and I'm still not done! The first day all three kids pitched in and were a huge help. The second day R was at Grandma's for a while, Kb & Kg helped a bit... and played hide and seek. I would count while pulling weeds. They had tough to find them hiding spots!

Kg also decided to plant weeds in the grass for me. She took a weed and some sand so it was all set. I put a stop to this quick...we don't need weedy grass too!!

Little A-Merrick-A

On our way home from camping we stopped at a little amusement park! It was a great day to go. It was LaMovida day. It was $10per person to get in(gold bands..means you can do everything) and their were additional food vendors on site. One that was selling the absolute best burittos! The rides are all geared to kids 12 and under. Our three could ride most of the rides and we all had a blast! Dh and I said we will have to make sure we go on LaMovida day again next year!!

Camping Weekend

We had a great weekend camping! It was a nice relaxing weekend. The kids swam, played at the camper, rode bikes and had a lot of fun!

The girls being goofy!

Kb learned to steer the low to the ground bikes!

R and Kg mastered the big bikes!

The kids all said they had a great camping weekend, once again! Dh and I had a great weekend too!

When The Rain Goes Away...

We go out and play! We had rain, rain and more rain! When it wasn't raining we took the opportunity to splash in puddles... ride our bikes in our rain boots...
R said, "no taking pictures", I couldn't resist though!

Kb said, "cheese"!

and more puddle splashing!

Pumpkins

We planted some pumpkin seeds at Grandma & Papa's(they built some raised beds for pumpkins, gourds and squash). Well, they are growing!! The kids are so excited to see the pumpkins and walk down every visit to Grandma & Papa's to take a look!

Kool-Aid Playdoh Fun

We took our playdoh out today and the kids loved it! Yes, R is wearing Christmas pajamas. She came home from summer camp wet and covered in sand. She changed into this and I didn't really care since she only had a couple hours off before t-ball!
Kg loved the pinkish color playdoh!

Kb's favorite color, orange! He was pretending to eat it, ick!

The kids had fun using the cookie cutters. We sorted our shapes and counted them so it was educational too!

R wanted to make Grandma H a playdoh Birthday Cake! It has a smiley face and says, "Happy Birthday Gma H"!

Happy Birthday Grandma H!

Happy Birthday Grandma H! Grandma came out tonight for R's last t-ball game of the season. The kids were dirty, tired and overly done so no picture with them and Grandma:( We did get a picture of Grandma and her fun new weekend bag from The Wojciks and Us... Happy Birthday Grandma H, we love you!!

Kool-Aid Playdoh

I have been wanting to try this kool-aid playdoh recipe! I love it(yes, I think I say this with every new playdoh recipe we try:). The colors are fun and it smells yummy! The only problem I have is it is greasy. That was mentioned in the recipe so I cut the oil to 2tbsp. I will try using only one next time. We made red, orange and green. The green was really watery...guess the child in charge of green used to much water, not enough flour or didn't stir fast enough? Not sure, but it didn't make it. My picture isn't very good and I don't have the patience to pose the playdoh tonight. Go to the recipe site for a pretty picture!

Date Night

I traded in my flip flops for my pretty shoes this weekend!
Dh and I went on a date this weekend, a night out with just the two of us. It was nice to relax and eat dinner without any interruptions. We went to a restaurant that bordered on kid friendly and had linen tablecloths instead of paper. We then stopped at a local bar to sit outside on their patio and have a cold beer. To top the night off we went to a movie...the late showing. It was a nice evening out and something we very much enjoyed!

Water Balloons

Twenty minutes to fill...

Two minutes to enjoy!

Repeated a few times!

New Ride

Grandma & Papa bought a new Ranger for the kids to ride! We learned quickly that four kids all want to ride at the same time. Luckily there is a small space in the back for two kids to squeeze in. The kids spent a lot of time this afternoon driving around Grandma & Papa's yard!

Train Show

We took a trip to the Train Show today! There were so many trains to see, it was very neat. R and Kb loved all of it, Kg loved the trains that had animals on display!

Kb took a little nap on the way home!

Brewer Game

R said I had to take a picture of Bernie and his slide!

For Father's Day the kids gave Daddy tickets to a Brewer's Game! It was Kb and Kg's first game! Since we were taking a 6yr old and two 3yr olds I didn't know how long we would last and figured the $15 seats were a good choice. Well, I will spend a little more next time. In the past when we have taken R it was with free tickets we got from a salesman at work. They are in the lower section right off home plate(amazing seats). We sat down and R said, "I like the other seats better". Really? You're six, when did you get so spoiled picky! She was right though...we were very high!

A few random pictures at the game...

The kids asked if they could get a special treat at the game on our way out. We, of course, said yes!

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

The kids did great and had a blast! It was a great day for a baseball game:)
