Green Meadows

We met the S and G families at Green Meadows today!

 Kitty barn.  I'll admit it, I can't stand the kitty barn.  1)I'm allergic to cats 2)cats freak me out

The kids like the kitty barn so I'm always(today dh joined me) the parent standing outside the kitty enclosure telling the kids its time to get out, please get out after two minutes.  I then follow it up with sanitize please!!!  I'll try to relax next year-even though I know it won't happen.

 Pony rides!  Kg said seeing the ponies were her favorite animal to visit today:)...

Football Fans

We went to cheer our nephew on at his football game Thursday night!  He has three huge fans:)...

Apple Picking...the girls and me

Kb wasn't feeling his best on Saturday(he had a croup cough:( so he spent the day at home laying low with dh.  I took the girls apple picking...we had planned to do this as a family on Saturday and the girls were sad to hear we weren't going. Thank you Kb and dh for not being upset about not going with!

Both girls said the best part was "climbing trees to get the apples" and they were excellent tree climbers!

It was really nice to have a day with my girls:)

Campground Halloween

We LOVE Halloween weekend at the campground where our camper is!  By far one of our favorite weekends all year.  Trick or Treating from campsite to campsite, pumpkin bowling, haunted hayride and haunted house!

First Days of School

Where did the time go?  How do we have a 2nd grader and two Kindergarteners?!  Wow, when people tell you the time will fly I didn't realize how true that was until now.

R started 2nd Grade on Tuesday.  She was so excited and yelled, "yeah 2nd grade!"

 After school she told me the bus ride was to long and hot.  She was so sweaty that I should pick her up Wednesday...I fell for that the last two years and ended up picking her up for 179 days...not falling for it again this year;)

 These two enjoyed Tuesday and Wednesday as extended summer vacation days because of staggered start Kindergarten!

On Thursday Kb and Kg had their first day of Kindergarten!

 All three kids told me school was "good" today.  R gave more details with names of kids.  Kb told me about his friend from across the street and "the other boys".  Kg talked about "the girls in her class", but neither knew names yet(staggered start today so only five kids in each class today!).  

In celebration of the first day of Kindergarten and third day of 2nd grade we went for custard:)...

The start of a fantastic school year(knocking on wood and crossing fingers that all three have a great year!!!)!!!
