Sledding

We took the kids sledding on Sunday and had a blast!  We found a hill that we thought looked smaller than the regular sledding hill across the street, but it was definately not small or slow!

 R's face says it all!! 

Dh, the kids and I all had a lot of fun sledding down the hill.  I can't remember the last time I was screaming while going down a sledding hill!

Report Cards!

All three kids came home with great report cards this week!  All three are doing well in their academic areas, which is great.  I was thrilled to see that R is doing well in gym and art, two areas I worried she might struggle this year.  Kg is doing great socially and making friends which is great to see.  Kb's speech is progressing really well and he is able to communicate much better with his classmates, a great accomplishment.  To celebrate we had ice cream sundaes!! 

 Grandma & H came over for dinner(thanks for the pizza Grandma:) and ice cream to celebrate with us!

Pom Pom Hearts

We had some crafty fun on Friday!  Kb & Kg love using scissors, glue and anything that involves makine hearts!  We made some fun pom pom hearts(that is what we are calling them)...

 I gave them felt to cut out in heart shape, pom poms, glue and let them create!

Kb wanted to send his to Papa in Florida...

Note to self(and others who may try)-felt gets icky when too much glue is used so another backer may work better!

Monkey Joes

It was chilly out this week so Grandma and I decided to venture to Monkey Joes with Kb, Kg and H!  They had a blast...

R said she wanted to write in her journal alone.  Kb & Kg are giving her space...they are not technically sitting with her.  So much for privacy, sorry R your siblings just love spending time with you:)

The Wilderness

For Dh's birthday Grandma & Papa gave him a gift certificate for The Wilderness(he asked for a present that was something he could do with the family)!  We had a lot of fun...

The dreaded ball tower.  Six stories with six exits(one that comes out right by the bathrooms/locker rooms).  Dh and I despise this thing and the kids love it!  We were constantly worried because we couldn't stay with or see all the kids at one time.  We survived it though(and were thankful when B & M were there to help)!!

Sledding in the COLD

It was COLD outside, but the kids wanted to sled so we went for a little while.  I had to force them to come in because my cheeks were freezing!

Getting bundled up Kg asked, "is this scarf to stop me from talking?"  I had to laugh because she doesn't ever stop talking so it was a good question!  I told her of course not, it is to keep her warm...

Cupcake Time!

Grandma invited us over to make and make a mess of her kitchen with sprinkles decorate some cupcakes!!

R came over after school to decorate too...

Shoveling

Pure joy is what I think of when I look at this picture of Kb!  He is just so happy to be making a snow angel, I love it!!

 My shoveling helpers feel the same way about shoveling as I do...

 Eating snow and making snow angels is so much more fun!

Shoveling...ugh.  That is my thought on it.  I am ready for spring, if you can't tell from my fabulous shoveling job above...who said all the snow had to be cleared off the driveway;)

Valentines...

We have started our Valentines here!  I found some really cute free printable labels for Valentines here!!  Originally I thought we could use these cute labels for R, these for Kg and these for Kb!  Not so sure the kids agree with me so it may be a mixture of all three for each one! 

Kb, Kg and I got started this afternoon while R was at school...

I took a picture of Kb, but my camera battery died at that moment so it didn't take:(  Seriously, you think I would charge the battery more often so that didn't keep happening!!

When R got home she wanted to cut some out too...

Not sure why 'power tools' are involved?  Or why Kb is playing with part of his marshmallow shooter, inside, without marshmallows.  Hmm, chaotic after school here today I guess.

Some cut out Valentine labels!  Now, to cut 40 more and write names on all of them...good thing it is only mid-January!

If you are wondering what we are making for Valentines, it is a suprise!  A friend found a super cute idea and invited us to make them with her:)  I'll post the finished product on Valentine's Day, but may post some more sneak peaks of our progress before then;)

Painting with Kg...

The kids decided to do some painting.  Kg said, "don't look I'm not finished yet.  There is still some brown showing"....
