Backyard Adventure

My favorite part of our day today was our late afternoon adventure in our backyard.  I was sitting on the bench making a grocery list and listening to the kids play.  They have such imaginations, I love it!  They were taking apart the potting bench area and having so much fun.

Sitting on the little garden chairs
Izzy hung out in the shade
Then they moved to the 'forest'.  Thankfully I was there to see where they were playing so if I ever can't see them, I know where to look!

This is one of my favorite things about summer, backyard adventures!

On My Birthday (R's 7th birthday)...

On my 7th birthday I got up at 6:01am!  I walked into Mommy and Daddy's room and told my Mom, "IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!" and I was ready to start my day!  I usually sleep until 7:30ish so this was a shock for my Mom.

Mom put my new bike basket on my bike!  Daddy will be thrilled because I'll stop using his fishing creel for my bike basket...
Grandma came over with balloons!  My birthday party balloons flew away when I was putting them in the car.  Kb and Kg took the weight off and the back door of the car was open...they flew away and I was really sad.  Grandma brought Kb and Kg each a soccer balloon because they start soccer today(and so they leave my balloons alone;)...

 Thank you Grandma!
I went to soccer with Kb and Kg!  My mom let me take her camera and take some pictures....
Kb and our babysitter, R.  She goes to college in the fall and I am a little sad I told Mom...

What is my sister doing to her shirt?!
We went to lunch at the restaurant of my choice, Pizza Hut.  Then to play at the park of my choice, Pool Park(no, I still don't know the real name yet)...

My mom took some pictures of me at Archery Class!  I was the only girl and the youngest. You have to be seven to take Archery and today is my 7th birthday!

I really liked Archery and asked Papa to help me practice, Papa seemed excited to teach me!  My mom shot archery with Papa and Uncle D when she was younger, she even had her own bow(okay, Mom added this part on her own;).

We went for a swim with Grandma!  The water was perfect...

When Papa got home he took us for a ride to see the stone puppies before dinner...
Daddy, Uncle D, Auntie L and H came after work!  We all had dinner and went swimming...

It was a happy 7th birthday!  I am very fortunate to have had a great celebration with all my family on Sunday and then a day of fun today!!

Happy 7th Birthday R!

I can't believe you are seven today!  The past seven years have went way to fast and I hope the next seven go much slower, even though I know they may go even faster:(.

You have grown so much this past year, R!  You started and finished Kindergarten and have become much more mature and independant.  You are still a wonderful sister and a kind, compassionate girl.  This year you traded in your gymnastics leotards for dance class tap and ballet shoes and have loved it! You also moved from co-ed t-ball to girls coach pitch softball! You are a brave girl... Riding your bike way to fast and itching to master driving Grandma's Sarasota. This summer you have started to want to venture out and play with your friends on your own more, leaving your brother and sister home to play with their friends.  That makes them sad because they want you to stay and play too, but we are trying to help them understand that you want to play with the girls your age and play big girl games. It is hard to believe you will be a "grader" as you say in the fall! We are so fortunate to have such a wonderfully lovely seven year old daughter! Happy 7th Birthday R!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Uncle T!

Uncle T's birthday is the day before R's.  We usually forget to tell him Happy Birthday because we are focused on R's(I think he understands, kids trump adults in the b-day department:). Today the kids sat down with signs and yelled, "Happy Birthday Uncle T" to the camera!

R's 7th Birthday Party!!!!!!!

For R's 7th birthday we told her she could have a family party anywhere she wanted and she chose a Luau themed pool party at Grandma & Papa's!  We celebrated with family Sunday!!

Our day in pictures:)...

**Papa-your picture is missing!!  You were photographed during camera difficulties so it must not have saved:(  Don't worry, I'll add ya after I snap a new one this week;)
