A Decade to Remember

We have had an amazing decade! I don't know how to sum it up in a simple post. I will do my best with some highlights!
You will notice I got my first digital camera this decade, which is why I had to scan some pictures in. Dh and I had fun posting these and looking back at the fun we have had.
The most memorable events that made the decade what it is are these next three. I couldn't have asked for more, we are so blessed!

We were married in 2001...
Had our first born, R, in 2004...
Had our twins, Kb & Kg, in 2006...

We also had some fun traveling this decade! We have had a lot of great camping trips with friends pre-children and with the kids since their arrivals. Visits to Uncle Stinkerpants and Aunt Snooky when they lived in Louisville and now north to their home. Also, a few fun trips to local water parks with the kids. We have been very fortunate in our amazing travels. Here are pictures from some of our favorite vacations...
Ireland(this was in 1999, but is by far one of our favorite vacations that I had to include it)...
Honeymoon in Great Britain in 2001...New Orleans with friends in 2002...
Las Vegas with friends in 2006...
(Mommy is 10wks pregnant with Kb & Kg here-I 'sprouted' early:)

Grandma & Mommy took a trip to New York in 2007...
Disney World with R and Dh's entire family in 2007...

Naples with Grandma & Papa in 2008...

We are very blessed and thankful for the wonderful decade we have had. It is amazing to look back and see that dh and I were engaged when the decade started, planning our wedding. Now as it comes to a close we are married with and have a complete family. We had pregnancies, babies, toddlers and now preschool age children!! Amazing how the time has gone so fast. We are enjoying the stages of life everyone is in and looking forward to what the next decade will bring!

Happy New Year!

We decided to change up our New Years Eve this year and make it a low key family day! It was so much fun!!!

This morning we took the kids bowling. This was Kb and Kg's first time bowling and I have to admit, I was nervous. I didn't know who taking a 5yr old and two 3yr olds bowling would go. Well, it went better than expected! Kb had a hard time taking turns for the first few rounds. I know waiting for four others is hard for a 3yr old, but he got the hang of it pretty quick and was great the rest of the game. Definately something we will do again! Lots of pictures...

If bowling wasn't enough, we also got to go to a party at a Jump Place! It was a lot of fun and definately tired the kids out! It was a perfect size place, we could keep an eye on all three kids and visit at the same time. Parents were allowed to jump too so I gave it a try. Well, the slides go fast, I was suprised at how fast I flew down so you can imagine how fast a 35pound child goes! Fun, fun, fun!!! Thank you to M and her family for planning it, we had a blast!!!

Kitty Cat Is Running!

Papa bought this for the grandkids last year and has stored it on a shelf in the garage(literally on a shelf, it is that small) until now! Uncle D got it tuned up and ready to go because the kids are old enough to give it a try! R was so excited when she saw it in Papa's Outpost garage... The kids are only allowed to drive when it is tethered to the bird house post. I had to ride out to the post w/R. Yes, I am waaay to big to ride this thing. It worked okay like this until we hit the snow and then I had to have R walk and I kneeled on it to get it over...

I was giving R the lesson of what to do...

Kg was soo excited to ride(you can see Papa watching in the distance not sure how this was going to go:)...
We called Uncle D and H to let them know we were riding. They came over to give it a try. Grandma freaked out that H is to young to ride. Uncle D held on and ran with him for a while. H didn't go to fast, he was tethered and the circle they went in was pretty small. Plus, once you take your hand off the gas it stops immediately...
Daddy gave Kb the driving lesson with Uncle D and Papa watching...

This is what happens when you don't read carefully and put the wrong gas in....
Gas issue fixed and they were off again...

Check out the tether, it worked great...

It got dark and cold so we had to park it for the night. We will be out riding again this weekend for sure! Thank you Papa and Grandma for adding another fun element to your house/yard!!! I hope you like us visiting because the kids will only want to come out even more now!

Sledding

Sledding really tires Kg out!

We had fun sledding at Grandma & Papa's this afternoon! Grandma and Mommy worked hard pulling us up the hill over and over! You may notice Daddy and Papa are not pictured...they were working hard getting our next fun adventure ready. I will post that later!

Water Park

This is what happens when you check in to the water park, walk to your room and find them cleaning it. You park your kids in the hall to wait until they are done! For Christmas we gave the kids a night at Chula Vista water park! The kids had a lot of fun, this water park is not overly large so we could watch them all easily and let them play without freaking out to much. R went on everything, big and small! To the point where I would put her on a mat, push her off down the waterslide and hop on the one next to it to meet her at the bottom. She had no fear! Kg wasn't far behind, she was on the large water slides also. Dh and I would have one at the top and one at the bottom with kids coming and going. A little chaotic, but we managed to keep an eye on all three and knowone got lost or hurt!
Only downfall...the room. This is the first time we have stayed in a hotel room since we went to a water park after Christmas of 2007. This is our first hotel visit since Kb and Kg left cribs(pack & plays at hotels). It stunk. They couldn't handle the noise of neighbors screaming and yelling at midnight, each other tossing and turning and getting to sleep with each other so close was a royal pain. Dh and I both said we are thankful we have a condo type room in Disney for our upcoming vacation. Oh, and next time we will spend the extra money for a hotel room with a bedroom or kid type room so every child has their own space. Other than that, fun time!!

Build A Bear

For Christmas Auntie Snooky, Uncle Stinkerpants, B & M gave the kids gift certificates for Build A Bear! Well, the plan was to meet them at a mall and go together to make animals. You know kids can't wait that long so we stopped at the mall on our way to the water park Monday! The kids love their new animals(dog for R, fluffy dog for Kb, unicorn for Kg)...thank you Auntie, Uncle & Cousins!!!
