This was our third trip to Naples/Marco Island and it was a great week! I'm not sure how to use only a few pictures in this post, but I'll try(Grandma is still in Florida with her camera so I am short a few pictures to choose from)...
R missed Papa and was happy to see him!
Dh saw a Groupon for a circus that was going to be in Naples. It reminded me of how in envision the traveling circus in Water For Elephants. The middle of the country backroad, a circus tent and some animals in pens. Add a ticket window and portable bathroom and you have the circus!
We made a trip to our favorite Marco Island neighborhood park!
R, our adventurous eater, ate alligator!
We hadn't been to the Naples Zoo in a few years so we made a visit there! Love the Naples Zoo...
up close with a sloth...
cute playground...
the wind machine was supposed to make you feel like you were on the safari in Africa...
the kids loved it!
feeding the giraffes!
Grandma has a great group photo in front of the giraffes, I'll add it when she gets home!
We took the boat to see the monkey islands...
fed the ducks...
played on the other playground...
In three years we hadn't had to make a visit to the local walk in, Kb changed that this trip. Kb slipped getting out of the hot tub and cut his chin open. It wasn't bad, but it needed a couple stitches or some glue:(
The doctor was not fond of me when I asked if he could please avoid stitches and glue it instead so Kb could swim still since it was only half way through our week. The doctor said, "no swimming!!". After the doctor glued Kb's chin shut we went home and told him to keep his chin above water and we bought some water proof bandaids to keep it dry;)
The clinic had TWO posters hanging of 'snakes of Florida'! Ick!!! If you know my dislike for snakes, you know how I analyzed everywhere I walked the rest of the week.
Girls and Papa...
Dh, Papa and my Uncle R took a fishing charter out on the gulf. They caught quite a few fish, but a lot weren't large enough to keep. They had fun!
While the guys were fishing we went to Marco Island's Farmers Market. The kids requested this outing! We went last year and the kids loved the Monkey Bread(cinnamon rolls with key lime frosting:) and free trade baskets!
Last year we went on The Dolphin Explorer trip and it was fabulous! We looked at other tours and decided to do this one again. Kids loved it and we saw so many dolphins(baby dolphins too!) and had fun shelling!
Kb was so intrigued by the skeleton
he wondered what was in there and where the hold led to!
I have a great video clip of the dolphins swimming behind the boat! It is a minute long and I can't get it uploaded. If someone has tips on how, let me know! A shorter one...
Great group photos are in Florida with Grandma and in R's journal at school..I'll add later!
The Beaches! Where do I begin?! Ahh, amazing! Naples has beaches with the finest white sand and blue water. Marco Island has beautiful beaches with shells waiting to be collected. We went to three of our favorites!
South Marco Beach
Tiger Tail Beach
Clam Pass Beach in Naples
Variety of pictures from all three beaches!
The pool and hot tub at the house got a lot of use!
Thank you Grandma & Papa for spending a fabulous week with us in Marco Island/Naples!! We are looking forward to many more return visits!
