Happy Anniversary

Dh and I said We Do 11 years ago today! 11 years as husband and wife, 11 things I love about my husband...

1. Kind

2. Understanding

3. You fold the many loads of laundry I throw on your side of the bed so you can't get in unless you fold it first. And you fold it without complaining.

4. Amazing dad

5. Stubborn, but willing to (eventually;) give in on most things
6. Loving

7. Faithful

8. You can still surprise me and make my heart flutter with your sweet gestures.

9. Handsome

10. You accept the chaos I find to be normal. A trail of sand through the house, paint splattered all over the craft table and glitter covered floors are not your thing(yes, you are a bit of a clean floor freak!), but you see the joy on the kids faces and understand the mess is for a good reason and continue to refill our gigantic sand box every spring knowing half of it will end up on our kitchen floor and eventually all over your feet.

11. You love me unconditionally just as I do you.

Happy 11th Anniversary, I love you!

Spring Break 2012

We had a pretty low key spring break here and it was nice!  We played outside with friends a lot, dyed Easter eggs, opened the camper, celebrated Easter, celebrated Grandpa H's birthday, R went to a roller skating birthday party, went to Make a Messterpiece with Grandma and H, bowling with friends ad roller-skating as a family.  Here are a few pictures of our adventures!

Make A Messterpiece!  So much fun!!!!

Outside fun (R rollerblading)!

Bowling!

Happy 70th Birthday Grandpa H!

Easter was an extra special day...Grandpa H's 70th Birthday!!!
We celebrated Easter AND we celebrated Grandpa's Birthday(look at the faces surrounding Grandpa H, they show the faces of happy family celebrating their Grandpa/Dad that they love:)...
 Singing Happy Birthday...
 Blowing out the candles...
 Opening presents...
Happy 70th Birthday Grandpa H, we love you!!!

Happy Easter

We have taught our kids that the true reason for Easter is not the bunny and the baskets he fills, but jesus and his story.

We still put baskets out for the Easter bunny though...
and look for where he hid them in the morning...

we also went to Grandma & Papa's for our annual celebration with Grandma's family...
 this year we made bonnets...

and had an awesome bonnet parade around the Outpost!  It reminded us kids of our childhood parades...Thanksgiving parade around Uncle J and Aunt K's block in Racine and the parade we made from the little corner grocery store to our grandparents house for their surprise anniversary celebration(also in Racine-at the bottom of McKinnley hill for you that know the city).  It was a fun time, thank you Grandma and Aunt B for bringing back the parade tradition from my youth!

We also had our annual Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma & Papa's!  Grandma and Aunt B fill 150+ eggs and then they are hidden around Grandma and Papa's yard for the kids to find!

Happy Easter Everyone!!!

The Camper Is Open!

We took a trip north today to get the camper opened and ready for the season!
We power washed the outside, added new mulch around, burned leaves and had some time to bounce on the bouncy pillow:)
Dh and the kids said we needed some color.  They found these cute gnomes(and there were three hat colors; purple, orange and pink...the kids favorite colors!!!)...
We are ready for camping season to begin!

Coloring Easter Eggs!

We colored our Easter eggs on Friday!  R had her friend, Z, over to play Friday so she dyed eggs with us!
Two dozen eggs, some glitter and a lot of fun!

Zoo School - Alaskan Adventure

We had so much fun at Kb & Kg's Alaskan Adventure Zoo School!  I think the last two zoo school classes have been a couple of my favorites!

Not in a good picture mood...
The binoculars came in handy in the zoo...
 Hibernation is over!
 up close with the moose...
Very fun zoo visit!!
