Go Badgers!

On Saturday dh, Uncle J, Auntie M and I went to Madison to watch the Badgers beat Penn State!

We were all very thankful to find out that our seats were under cover and we didn't need these rain ponchos during the game!
We headed to State St area after the game for dinner and a few drinks...
Grandma H watched all five kids at our house(thank you Grandma H!!!!!) and took them roller skating!

On our way out the door Saturday morning R brought her Bucky up from her room and gave him to me to take with to Madison.  So sweet of her, we had to take a picture of Bucky with dh and I in the hotel room...

Thank you for a fun weekend J & M and for watching the kids Grandma H!

Kb & Kg's Thanksgiving Celebration

Kb and Kg had a cute Thanksgiving show for their parents on Wednesday!  They sang the "Turkey Pokey", "Turkey Dance" and other favorites like the Itsy Bitsy Spider.  It was really cute and they wore turkey hats too:)...

Happy Thanksgiving

We have so much to be thankful for.
We were fortunate to spend Thanksgiving with our wonderful families(we had two Thanksgiving dinners!:)

Thank you for a wonderful day everyone!

Nativity

The kids get so excited to take out the Nativity!  This weekend we took out the Playmobil Nativity for inside and put up the Nativity outside too(another post to come on outside decorations)...

2011 Activity Advent Countdown

R asked today when we were going to put up the "December calendar of daily fun things"  I didn't realize last years advent activity countdown had made such a memory.  I knew it was a great idea and I am happy we did it.  I also knew the kids enjoyed it, I just didn't realize how much.  I was already working on this years, but R's asking got me working even faster to get our list done!  Here it is in no particular order(I will put the slips of paper in the days that they work well on.  Days we have less time at night will be easier activities.  Nights we have more time will be lengthier activities).

Clothes Pin Pilgrim

R came home with an assignment from school, to make a cloths pin pilgrim.  Well, some kids would color some eyes, a nose and mouth.  Then add a pilgrim hat and call it done.  Not R, she got into this and since R was creating so were Kb and Kg...
Kg decorated her horse, Clompsy(yes, she named him)...
R's cloths pin pilgrim has a dress(stuffed to be fuller), an apron(with embellishments) and a necklace R made out of beads!  She is a fancy pilgrim:)

Kb and Kg had their last 4yr old gymnastics class.  Next term they move up to the 5yr old class!
Kb didn't want to stand on the podium or with the group.  His preschool teacher said he was stubborn, hmm...

First Snowfall

We had our first snowfall last week!  Well, really it was a few minutes of snowflakes, but to these two it was amazing!  They were so excited to put on their coats and rain boots(not nearly enough snow to drag out the winter boots;) and catch snowflakes on their tongues!
