Happy Birthday Kb and Kg!

It is hard to believe that our 'babies' are three!!! You two are two precious little ones we were blessed with. You each are so different and so similar in many ways.

Kb-our middle child(by one minute)...you are a sensitive, kind and caring little boy. I can always count on you for a hug when I need one. You love your sisters, but get tormented by them at the same time! You are very detail orientated little boy. You pay close attention to how things work. Kb, you are a great little helper too!

Kg-our youngest(by one minute)...you are a loving, sweet and spunky little girl. I can always count on you to say, "I love you mommy" at just the right time. You love your sister and brother as much as they love you. You are a girly girl in your dresses, but like to get outside and play hard in the dirt too! You love your animals and are so sweet to them, making sure they are well taken care of. Kg, you are a tough and talkative little girl. Knowone will ever push you around!

Happy Birthday Kb and Kg, we love you so much!!!

Kb & Kg's Birthday Day of Fun

We celebrated Kb and Kg's birthday on Saturday, but still wanted to do something fun today on the actual day. For lunch-Kb, Kg and I went to McDonalds(the kids choice) with Grandma and Cousin H. It was really a nice little outing. We also played outside in the nice weather(thank you Grandma for taking the boys for a walk while I took Kg to dance class:).

Tonight Dh, Grandma H and I took all three kids to Georgie Porgies for dinner and to Swan's Pumpkin Farm(our first visit to both places:). Here are some pictures of our evening...
R, Kg and Grandma H waiting for dinner!

Me taking a picture of Grandma H snapping pictures!

R was standing next to the goat petting him. She looked up at Grandma H and I and said "take my picture please"...I was to late!

Kb petting the goats nicely!

Kg likes to feed the goats, she just doesn't like when they lick her hand!

We went on a wagon ride! The kids liked sitting in the straw for the ride.
Thank you for spending the evening with us Grandma H...we hope you had as much fun as we did!!

Pumpkin Carving

Keeping with tradition(tradition in the sense that R was to little to sit on a chair and sat on the table two years ago and now loves having this opportunity once a year) the kids climbed up on the table and pumpkin carving began! We did have one change from last year...the kids had to listen to Christmas music while we carved Halloween pumpkins. Yep, it is going to be a long two months!

We went for more simple faces this year(okay, we aren't overly artistic:)...

The front yard with our carved pumpkins...
We even made some roasted pumpkin seeds...they are delicious!

Pom Pom Table

After our recent visit to Green Meadows and the kids love of their corn table I decided we needed to make one for the winter! That was until I read this on Giddy Goat and realized corn wasn't such a great idea. Thank you to Carrie for suggesting pom poms and Giddy Goat for asking...we tried out the idea yesterday and it worked great! Only downfall was w/a handful of kiddos here for the birthday party we had pom poms all over our house(because our three would never think to toss them all around the playroom:). They cleaned up easily and better pom poms than corn!!

Soccer Season 1

R finished her first soccer season! She really made great improvement throughout the season! It was fun to watch her grow as an athlete throughout the last two months. Here are a couple shots of her during her game today...

Kb and Kg are turning three next week! We celebrated today with a Cowboy/Cowgirl party! We dressed for the theme...

Kids and adults sported cowboy hats...They opened wonderful presents...
We had cake! I started getting advice on 'twin birthday parties' while I was pregnant from twins. I continued to get advice up until their first birthday. The one rule every twin told me was that each child needs their own cake. We have followed this 'rule' every year!
We had a great time, thank you to everyone who made it today! The icky flu and strep throat kept a few people away today and we missed you all! I am short on party pictures. I'm sure some of you can relate. You get busy getting things ready, watching kids and such that you forget to photograph it all. I did get some fun video, if I knew how to post it I would! So, if anyone has pictures to share, please send them to me:)

Feel Better Cousin B

Cousin B is really sick with the swine flu:( We are all really sad that she isn't feeling well and that she and her family won't make it to Kb & Kg's birthday party this weekend. We decided to send her a little 'get well' package. I can't show all of it yet since we are just mailing it tomorrow and she won't get it until Friday. I will share the cards the kids made tonight... Kb's card...he went for a glitter glue/dog theme!

Kg went for a glitter glue/animal theme!

R wrote B's name really nicely! It is a little hard to read..my camera wouldn't pick up the pen on pink paper to well.
Get better soon B!! We will miss you all this weekend at the party!

Letter L...take 2

L was boring with just lines...now L is for Lines and Leaves!

Horse Zoo School

Kb and Kg had their last two year old zoo class this week. We went to horse school! Kg did great at circle time. She sat, listened to the teacher, and answered all the questions! Kb did great at project time. He dot painted nicely, made a cute horse book and loved riding his horse around the room! I am a little sad that my 'babies' are going to be old enough to start three year old zoo school classes next month.

Carving Pumpkins

So, after visiting our third pumpkin farm of the year today we still hadn't purchased any pumpkins to carve yet! We made a stop on the way home and the kids picked out their perfect pumpkins to carve. This week we will carve away and share our masterpieces!

Family Fun Day at the Stade's Pumpkin Farm

We had a great day at Stade's Pumpkin Farm with our friends B, T and their little cutie A today! Great weather, great friends and a lot of fun! I think this is my new favorite pumpkin farm. Everything is paid for with tickets, so that is a little tricky. Figuring out how many tickets do three kids that want to do everything need? In the end, this was an ideal way for us...when the tickets are gone we were done. Plus, they had fun free activities! We really had only a few meltdowns, only one whiny child, we didn't lose any kids and we found the hat we lost in the first bounce obstacle course! Really, can we ask for more? When you have a five year old and two almost three year olds I don't think you can. Thank you B & T for suggesting this place, we loved it!

We were able to pet and feed a lot of animals!

R rode the pedal cars and the little ones went on the barrel ride!
Kg told me she was a 'big girl' and could ride alone(she is really growing up to fast:( A and Kb let us Mommy's come along for the ride!

They started playing music and the kids got up on a picnic table to dance. It was cute to see all the kids moving to the music!
