Kb & Kg's Preschool Graduation

Sniffle sniffle, Kb and Kg graduated from preschool!  I am happy for them to move on to the next phase of life, Kindergarten! I am sad to see them go to school all day...I've been a SAHM with them for the past five years and just don't know(or want) to do anything else:'(
They sang their hearts out and had the biggest smiles on their faces!  A picture of them with their teacher...
 A family picture...
 With Grandma H...
 With Grandma & Papa...
Thank you Grandma, Grandma and Papa for coming to enjoy this special evening with us!!!

R's School Birthday Treat

I put my Pinterest searching to good use!  We made brownie bottom, strawberry cake top and homemade buttercream frosting to top it off cupcakes...
R was hesitant and not sure if she liked this idea...
in the end she agreed they were good(not great, but good;)...

Kid Art Collage

I love when the kids bring home art work!  For Christmas Kb and Kg gave dh and I these adorable framed snowman pictures they made.  R made me a beautiful portrait of me, Mona Lisa Mama it is called and I was thrilled to frame it.  All three are proudly hanging in our kitchen:)

Memorial Day

We are thankful that our children understand the reason we have Memorial Day (we may have had to remind Kb and Kg that we don't go to the parade for the candy).  It was a great parade this morning!

During dinner Friday night R told us that her class made cards for the troops during school.  We asked if she understood why they made cards and she told us a very detailed reason.  Dh and I looked at each other with a bit of shock and a lot of awe at how much she knew and how well she understood how others have sacrificed for our freedom.  Today, I asked her to tell me again, but she was to busy planting flowers to stop and share so it is not as detailed(or as energetic;)...

Parade Cuties:)...
*Kg got her tiara at Chocolate Fest.  She was so cute during the parade, every car with a princess(fair/festival queen) that went by Kg would screech and say, "look, it's my favorite car...a princess!!!"
*These two are starting to bond so much more, it is nice to see!
*R is growing up so fast, she loved the parade!

*My little buddy and I!

Chocolate Fest

The local festival was happening this weekend and as locals we fled town went to Chocolate Fest!  The kids had a blast riding all the rides, eating festival food and doing flips...

'Blend In'

Kg was showing me how to blend in.  You can't see her, can you;)

Front Yard Fun

The other afternoon Kb and Kg pulled the picnic table out of the garage and set it up under a tree.  I pulled out the Old Maid cards and we played a game and drank ice tea.  It was a really nice afternoon...great idea you two!!

Simple Pleasures...

Simple pleasures on a hot summer day...
I ignored my inner freak out over the germs inside the hose and let her drink from it.

She even shared...

Kg's Swimming Skills!

What a huge difference from Kg last summer to Kg this summer!  She is a little fish and NO MORE WATER WINGS!  She can swim across the deep end on her own, dive to the bottom of the deep end for toys and go down the slide without wings!  She amazes me with her swimming skills after three days swimming this spring/summer!  She also likes to dive in, here is a video of her diving yesterday(ignore the background noise)...
Way to go Kg, I'm so proud of you!!

First Swim of the Year!

Thank you Grandma and Papa for letting us be the first to swim in the pool this year!  The air temperature was 65 degrees and the pool water was 85 degrees.  As long as you stayed in the water, you were okay.  Once out of the water it was COLD!

First Camping Overnight of the Year

We had some camper set backs this spring but all is well and we were able to stay overnight Saturday!  The weather was great and the kids were awesome!

Basketball Hoop

R has been asking for a basketball hoop for the past couple months.  We told her if she did her Vision homework without arguing every day she could have one.  The kids love it!

My Favorite Kind of Day

I love impromptu park visits!
